I am, in general, not a fan of selfies. I get that they are ubiquitous and that they probably aren’t going away anytime soon, but I don’t have to take them if I don’t want to. So, I rarely do. Today was an exception. I took this at the summit of the Mount Nebo road.

The reason for the selfie wasn’t that it was a super great accomplishment, although it was a pretty tough climb of over 20 miles. But I rode with a bunch of my Huntsman friends. What you can’t see in the picture is the Tumor Raider kit. That is the name of the team that we put together for LOTOJA. It is a combination of several other teams who ride for loved ones that have died of cancer. We all ride at different speeds and so getting us all to the summit is an accomplishment in and of itself.

It was an enjoyable day with some of the best people I know. I don’t think you can ask for much more than that. And it’s always a good reminder of what we are all riding for.

Running low on ideas today, I found this Bob Ross finger puppet and… viola.

Not much to say about this. It’s just a pit of snakes.

I decided that I was going to add a little flame to my bonsai tree from a few days ago. It turns out that it was trickier than I expected. At first the flames were way too big and you couldn’t even see the tree. So, I tried it with a different accelerant and that didn’t put out enough light to see. Then I dripped fuel all over and that just became a mess. Finally, I got this one and I felt like that was a good one.

Ooh, sugar.

Today you get a sweet sweet butterfly.

I decided to do another tree today. I can’t believe I only have a couple of months left on this project.

I just decided to put an comforting message up today.

Yesterday I posted a health potion and it just seemed a shame not to post a mana potion for all you wizards out there.

For those gamers out there I’m sure you recognize a health potion when you see it. I figured I should go full nerd for a few days.

Today, I’m letting my inner… and let’s face it, outer nerd show. I just bottled up an origami dragon and photographed him here for you. The hardest part was folding him inside the bottle. That’s only partly untrue. Unfolding his wings when he was put inside was a challenge. Then I had to get him oriented so that it resembled a dragon in a bottle. It turned out to be kind of fun anyway and here is the finished product for you to gaze on in wonder.
