The elusive velociraptor, hunting the green pepper. Or is he going to weed the garden?
Times must be hard for this velociraptor, he’s gone vegetarian. Or maybe he’s going to try to lure out a rabbit or that elephant from a couple of days ago. Although you can’t tell from the picture, I did pull some weeds in the garden today. Then I decided to take my picture of the day out there.
That fish looks surreal.
I sea what you did there.
You’re just fishing for a compliment.
Wow, I can’t believe it’s July already. It sure feels like summer outside though. The AC is cranking away, the ice-cream truck is playing its music, and the dolphins are jumping in the grass.
To be honest I kind of feel like the dolphin looks more like an orca. The silent killers of the sod. Maybe I should put an origami tuna and a seal in the grass just to find out for sure what kind of sea animal I folded.
For the record, I recognize the inaccuracy in the caption. Dolphins are mammals not fish, but I’m just not going to change it.
For today, “So long, and thanks for all the fish.”
My apple tree has no apples, but my pear tree has this.
Summer is in full swing and the trees are growing fruit. It’s an amazing thing that every year the trees bloom and make new fruit. I’m kind of excited about it now, but when the fruit starts to drop and I have to pick it up every day I think I will be less excited.
Got out on the bike today for a quick jaunt up the canyon. I was aiming for 55 minutes, but didn’t quite make that. On the plus side the descent was fast and awesome. What does this have to do with a gorilla? Not much, but I did pass the zoo on my way up and on my way home.
I feel worn out today, not really sure why though. This picture of the gorilla was kind of how I feel today, so I decided I’d use it for the picture of the day.
Or is it star-jumbled, I always get them mixed up.
Star-crossed seems like an appropriate title for this. It means that things just aren’t going to work out. This one just wasn’t going to turn out the way that I expected. I tried a few things including a composite of a couple of exposures, but it just wan’t going to fit my vision the way I went about it.
I like to try experiments when I’m doing photography. The cool thing is you never know what you are going to get. You have an idea what you want, but sometimes it just doesn’t come out the way you want. It is definitely a downside. Sometimes you get what you were looking for and on occasion you are surprised by how well things turn out. I think it is a good idea to try stuff. As long as I don’t have to leave my comfort zone to do it, that is.
This stuff gets everywhere. Why is my ceiling glowing?
I was quite literal with my title today. I took some glow sticks and basically splashed the contents onto a piece of plastic and then photographed it. This is the stuff that went where I wanted it to. But the rest of the studio was far more interesting. Unfortunately, while cool to look at when I turned out the lights, there wasn’t really a good opportunity to photograph any of the other patterns that I made when I was preparing for this picture.
